Shrimp and crabmeat are the key ingredients in this easy to
prepare dish.  Unusual and special enough for company.

SEAFOOD LASAGNA - Serves 8

1/2 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup green onion, sliced
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp black pepper
9 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 cup creamed cottage cheese
1 (7.5 Oz) can drained crabmeat
1 (4.5 Oz) can tiny shrimp, drained
1/2 cup Parmesan, grated

  Heat butter in a 3-qt saucepan over low heat until
melted; add garlic; stir in flour & salt & cook, stirring
constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat.  Stir in milk
and broth; heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and
stir 1 minute.  Stir in mozzarella cheese, onions, basil, &
pepper;  cook over low heat, stirring constantly until
cheese is melted.
  Spread 1/4 of the cheese sauce (about 1-1/2 cups) in an
ungreased 13x9x2 baking dish; top with 3 or 4 uncooked
noodles, overlapping if necessary.  Spread cottage cheese
over noodles & repeat with 1/4 of the cheese sauce and 3 or
4 noodles.  Top with crabmeat, shrimp, 1/4  of the cheese
sauce, the remaining noodles & cheese sauce.  Sprinkle with
parmesan.  Bake uncovered at 350 until noodles are done
(35-40 min.)  Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
