Synopsis of Skit #1, "Dressing For The Fete:"

In private dressing rooms, a couple is preparing to leave for a big, important party...a party they have been anticipating with pleasure. But the couple can't seem to please one another with their individual party outfits. Especially, the husband cannot get just the proper attire together to suit his wife. (His tie is wrong. The shoes are wrong, etc.) The husband and wife repeatedly confront one another in their upstairs hallway as they come out of their rooms in a hurry, supposedly ready to go. It begins to look as if they will never even make it out the door and into their car! Will they make it to the party at all? Will they simply be late? Will the party have to go on without them? Can this marriage be saved?

Opening line of dialogue:    Wife:   Is THAT what you're wearing?
