Spaghetti

Recipe By: Me and my Mom. I got the initial hack from her and have since changed it over the years. Sorry Mom.

1 tbsp olive oil
3 1/2 lbs sirloin beef tip steak
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 onion, chopped (or 2 1/2 tbsp dried onions)
1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp thyme
2 tsp garlic salt
1 1/2 tbsp oregano
3 cans tomato sauce
1 12oz can of V-8 juice (or use a big can and save the remainder for Dad)
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp various hot sauce (like Tobasco or Texas Pete's)
1 to 1 1/2 lbs mushrooms (right Dad!)

Saute chopped onion in olive oil. Add beef and brown. Drain.

Add rest of ingredients (and dried onions, if used) except mushrooms and put in crockpot. Stir in beef and onions. Let cook on low for 8 hours, or high for 5 hours. Add mushrooms about an hour before the sauce is done. Can be made on the stove, but a crockpot was designed for this. Besides, there's nothing like coming home from work to a house that smells of Spaghetti after it has been brewing in a crockpot all day.

Serve over pasta. Duh!
