The Leader's Way
This leadership journey in Peru will engage you in unique opportunities to develop yourself as a person and as a leader. It includes experiences of the sacred sites and Andean spiritual principles, developing new perspectives and gaining new insights about leadership, as well as candid group discussions and private reflection. This leadership journey is a careful balance of physical, intellectual and spiritual exploration including time for each individual to integrate the total experience for himself or herself. Day One - Connecting flights to Miami, Florida, USA (or departure points in other countries), on to Peru. Day Two - Arrive Cusco (the
capital of the Inca empire), initial program session with
introductory lecture, including the attributes of
transformative leaders, lessons from the Inca on
leadership and the relevance of the ancient and modern
Andean traditions to leadership today. Day Three - Entire day on
Andean experiences at sacred sites in and around Cusco.
We will explore Cusco City, the beautiful ruins of Tambo
Machay fountains outside the city with an explanation of
its meaning for the Inca, and the remains of the fortress
of Sacsayhuaman above Cusco, which contains stones larger
than the pyramids. Then we depart for the beautiful
sacred valley where we will stay at the unique private
retreat center and gardens of Willka Tika (means sacred
flower Day Four - Travel to the fortress, temple and city of Ollyantaytambo, the only existing town built by the Inca that has been continuously occupied since the time of the Inca. Participate in group and individual exercises on leadership. Return to Willka Tika for discussion group. Day Five - Travel to the fascinating Inca ruins on the mountain of Pisac with breathtaking views and participate in a group experience and discussion. Explore Inca methods for transmitting spirit and intent and experience individual inner journeys.
Day Seven - Depart for
Machu Picchu. Participate in special group activities at
specific sacred sites within the extensive ruins.
Includes further lessons on vision and leadership from
the Inca and a unique opportunity to reflect and connect
with h Day Eight - Very early AM
we re-enter Machu Picchu before the tourist train arrives
so we have the city almost to ourselves - a wonderful
experience. We take an historical tour of the city and
participate in other group activities, as well as have
time for individual exploration. Experience this
extraordinary place that seems suspended in the sky amid Day Nine - Final seminar to integrate personal and leadership learning and discuss application in your life at work and at home. Visit sacred cave and other sacred sites outside Cusco. Day Ten - Fly in the early AM from Cusco to Lima and then on to home. And so this part of a truly magical experience comes to an end and the opportunity to enjoy and experiment with the fruits of your experience begins!
