and welcome to my web site. Please make yourself at home.
This is a friendly little site that showcases recent work, presents some favorite
photos, and lets me share thoughts and connections with you that I hope you'll
get something out of. There is actually a newer M2 website now,
deepgraysea.com, so please
visit there to see new fun stuff. Still here? That's ok too.
means "work" in the Hawaiian language.
I'm a web developer by trade, and here you can see examples of
my craft. You'll find screenshots and stories of
my favorite systems designed and built over the last few years.
means "family".
We're a cheerful family with badly behaved pets that we love dearly.
You'll find some fun pictures here, and little tales that go with them.
is the Hawaiian word for "soul" or "spirit".
The life of the soul takes many forms. For me, music and faith are
primary expressions. You'll learn a bit about my musicianship,
about the Bahá'í Faith, and about how to live a happier
life by wearing aloha shirts.
Off to the side of these pages you'll find a context area.
This place will have little odds and ends that tell another part of
the story from the rest of the page.
Tiny Bird lives here and asks lots of questions. You might find
favorite books, or music, or links to other sites. Follow the
links to new places if you wish, but do remember you're always
welcome back here.
Most pages have a little petroglyph symbol of a honu or sea turtle
way down at the bottom. Click on the honu and he'll take you someplace
far across the internet. Wonder where? Different each time, won't you
be surprised!
A web site is a kind of invitation to a conversation.
So please feel free to write me via the
deep gray sea contact form
and be friendly. I'd love to hear from you. Mahalo,

Here's the weather today in the north end of Seattle, where our family lives:

And here's the weather today in Koloa, on the island of Kauai, in Hawaii:

Seattle is home to our family, but Hawaii is a special place to us.
So what do you hope people get out of this website?
A love of good craftsmanship, a presentation of
information in an interesting way, perhaps a touch of the aloha spirit.
There's good links to other sites, so I hope folks follow their
curiosity and learn something new.
And I hope some of the pictures and stories here make for smiles.
