Since James and Prudence didn't have a son John in 1870, presumably this is 
Samantha's son, now with the King surname.

In 1860 Samantha Etchison is listed as age 17, living in the house of F.B. and 
Lydia Ward (household 570).  Her parents are only a few houses away.

In 1870 she is 27, a domestic servant with Jane Ward in household 330 in 
Farmington.  With her is John Etchison age 4.  I am assuming that she has not 
married.

She married James King age 60 on 24 Aug 1874.
