Her name is variously given elsewhere as Mary, Maria, or Mariah. -------------------------------------------------- Notes: 1850 Davie County census household 256 Maria Latham 30 James 16 Mary 14 William 12 Hampton 10 Age 30 in the 1850 census is inconsistent with an 1832 marriage. In 1860 she is listed as 42: 1860 Davie County census, transcript page 61, household 477; Farmington district Mary Lathan 42 Mary A. 22 I don't see a Mary or Maria Latham in 1870, but there is a Mona Latham, household 329 in Farmington, age 56, with Lucy Chaffin 46, domestic servant. She is next to her son James Latham and his wife, which supports the idea that this is just a misreading of Maria in the census. In 1880 she is Mariah Latham, age 65, a nurse in the home of James M. and Rachel A. Johnson, household 116 in Farmington. James Latham: 1860 Davie County census, household 484 Sousan Fereby 49 Thos.
