WALKER -------------------------------------------------- Birth: About 1844 -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Notes: 1850 Davie County census household 656 William Queen 23 Malinda 22 In 1850 they have one slave, a black female age 12. There are no Queens listed in the index to the 1860 census. In 1870 he appears with second wife Rebecca: Household 320 in Fulton district, transcript page 139 William Queen 46 Rebecca 47 Prassie Gibson 21 Augustus Queen 17 John 12 Caroline 9 Elizabeth 6 Lula 3 This family appears again in 1880, this time with wife Elizabeth, consistent with the 1878 marriage: Household 89 in Fulton district, transcript page 131 Wm. Queen 54 Elizabeth 36 John 22 Virginia 20 Lizzie 16 Lula 14 Curtis Walker 11, son Curtis is presumably Elizabeth's son from a previous marriage. In 1870 there is an Elizabeth Walker age 27, living with John N. and Lucinda Myers, household 358 in Fulton district. With her are Martha Walker age 6 and a male infant age 1/6. This could be Curtis. Martha Walker age 16 is living with William and Annie Walker, listed as a granddaughter. All this suggests Elizabeth Walker may be the sister of Lucinda (Walker) Myers, age 19 in 1860. If so she aged rather slowly. Last Modified: 30 Jan 2001
