Welcome to the North Carolina School of Yoga's Gentle/Restorative Teacher Training Course. Gentle and Restorative practices are specialty classes using specific supported asanas, appropriate pranayama and concentration techniques to assist in healing and restoring the mind, body and spirit.
Learn to teach gentle and restorative yoga by bringing together elements of hatha yoga poses, breathing awareness and meditation to help students new to the practice, expectant mothers, or students who wish to simply slow down. This training is designed for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, fitness professionals, and anyone interested in developing a greater knowledge of these specialty types of classes. Yoga can help to relieve common discomforts, strengthen muscles, improve circulation and blood flow, stabilize emotions and develop concentration and focus - all valuable tools for life.
You will also learn how to incorporate props into these classes such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, sandbags, etc. Learn anatomy and intelligent sequencing for each type of gentle or restorative class, meditation and breathing techniques, and much more. Join us for this comprehensive and thorough training in gentle and restorative yoga.
