Welcome to the North Carolina School of Yoga's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Course. In the US alone, a woman gives birth every 7 seconds. This prenatal yoga course prepares instructors to assist women as they cross into motherhood. Creating a trend toward a more natural, holistic and safe birth environment is an exciting one. As a tool, prenatal yoga can empower women to make informed choices during pregnancy and birth.
Learn to teach yoga to expectant mothers during all phases of pregnancy. Prenatal classes bring together elements of hatha yoga poses, breathing awareness and meditation to help expectant mothers adjust to the physical and mental changes of pregnancy, labor and birth. This training is designed for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, fitness professionals, midwives, doulas and anyone interested in developing a greater knowledge of the anatomy of pregnancy. Yoga can help to relieve common discomforts, strengthen birthing muscles, improve circulation and blood flow, stabilize emotions and develop concentration and focus - all valuable tools for labor, delivery and life as a new mom.
You will also learn how to accommodate pregnant women and new mommies who attend your regular classes. Learn anatomy and intelligent sequencing for each stage of pregnancy, yoga therapeutics, apana vayu (energy used in delivery), meditation and breathing techniques for labor, diet and nutrition, marketing techniques and much more. Join us for the most current and thorough training in prenatal yoga.
