Can you read these repeated measures?



Inspired by Rhonda Ryman's "Ballet Moves," animation of notation with Credo Interactive's Life Forms 4.0 Dance, and more recently, Dance Forms 1.0, has been an enjoyable challenge. Each type of representation complements the other. Compare the Peach's notation to the animation.

Prior to the age of computers, notators used graph paper similar to this background to record movement. Today we use Labanotation editors such as LabanWriter to record movement. The "notation" on this page is from The Artificial Suite CD.
