STORY:
With a wave of his tail, and a smile on his face, Thief paraded through life and into showrings, bringing smiles to the faces of judges and all that watched him. His happiness to be at my side was profound, and he displayed it proudly. I must have done something right in my life to deserve a partner like him.....
On May 12, 2008, Thief suffered from 2 herniated discs. He was not injured, the discs just wore out. The herniated discs caused spinal cord damage which in turn created paralysis of his larynx. It was not noticeable at first, but as summer turned to fall, he found it more difficult to breath. On Monday, Oct 27, 2008, he told me it was time. I cradled his head in my lap as my kind vet gently eased him over the rainbow bridge.
Thief was one of a kind, a very special dog I shall never forget. I am thankful for the joy he brought me and the wonderful puppies he produced. He will live on thru them.
SHOW HONORS~BREED RING:
- Thief finished his AKC championship with a 5 pt major going BOB over 4 specials, including the #1, #5, and #8 ranked Border Collies in 2000. This was a very exciting win!
- Thief earned many BOB's over top ten ranked specials, and multiple group placements.
ALWAYS OWNER-HANDLED.
OBEDIENCE RING:
- "CD Title": First time shown in Novice B, Thief goes High In Trial! He finished his CD title in 3 shows with a 1st place, and two 2nds.
- "CDX Title": Thief earns his CDX title winning First place for all three legs!

Thief is the 11th Border Collie Sire to earn this honor. Thief's sire, 'Merlin', also has an ROM. There is only one other father/son that have earned their ROM's, but Thief and Merlin are the only, and the first, to have both been born in Australia and imported to the USA.
