Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.,
Delta Kappa Chapter was chartered on Georgia Tech's campus on November 20,
1976, making it the first Black Greek Organization chartered at Georgia Tech.
The man who played a key role in getting Delta Kappa chartered was Brother
James Mack, a graduate of , Morgan State University and the Dean of Pledges for
the first two lines here at Georgia Tech.
There were eight members on the
charter line, "In the Beginning", and since that time there have been
twenty-one lines to pledge at Delta Kappa, for a total of 85 members, up to the
present-day age of "Ground Zero." Our very first official
campus/faculty advisor was Brother Thomas Parker who has worked as a counseling
psychologist since 1974 and remained the official advisor for over a
decade. Since then, Cedric Stallworth served as Chapter Advisor through
the mid-'90's.
