Near the beginning of the movie, after Miranda informs Sarah that she'll have
to "learn to love someone else", we are taken into the upstairs hallway where
we see Miss Dianne De Poitiers reading something while leaning on the banister.
Girls are coming out of their rooms to go downstairs.

One girl stops to blow a kiss to Miss De Poitiers.

Then, Miranda, Marion, and Irma stop to talk to Miss De Poitiers. We can't hear
what they say, but they obviously love her, and she loves them. Miranda hands
Miss De Poitiers a red rose.

The camera then looks upstairs from downstairs, showing the girls in their
white dresses quickly running along beside the banister, under the concave,
decorated ceiling. Minnie is shown talking to Sarah who is holding a rose. This
scene leads into the uncut segment where Miss Lumley informs Sarah that she
will not be going on the picnic.
