Is there a difference between the two sentences above?

Hi there, and welcome to my site. You will quickly see that the primary focus of this site is self-defense and the preservation of my right to self-defense. You may not agree that I should have that right, using the most effective tools available, but that is your right. In the exercise of your rights, though, please do not trample on mine.
