Announcement--Sciography on Quantum Leap
Some great news. The Sci-Fi Channel contacted Christina Mavroudis and would like to do some interviews for a documentary they are putting together for Quantum Leap.
The show is called "Sciography" modeled after A&E's "Biography" where they will feature successful science fiction TV shows. It looks like the interview will be on Monday, April 10th.
For those of you into prayer, Christina requests prayers for her memory and notes she will be spending this weekend watching a lot of QL....
Thanks to Christina and Jodeen

More info on the Sciography interviews
You will recall earlier I mentioned Christina Mavroudis was requested to be interviewed for a SciFi channel program on Quantum Leap.
Here is her report. A bit late, but I've been doing overtime all week.
As for the part you are most interested in, she was informed that, yes, both Scott and Dean had finally said yes to interviews.   :-D
Thanks to Christina.

Subject: <>< Update: SciFi Channel Interview

Good morning, all:

This will be brief...although I'll try and get back with more details. We started at 8:30 AM with the film crew (one sound, one cinemaphotographer, and one producer) A PA (production assistant) came a little later. Except for the producer, they were all locals. Chris and Sally were there. We finally found a good spot to film ... and even then loud trucks would go by and ruin audio so we'd have to do take two. ug.

By the time I got there, Sally was wrapping up and Chris was just on deck. Questions were along the lines of favorite episode, how did leap change you, I told about Q2 and the first convention. They took still shots of our photos and then the producer borrowed a few tapes and several of my Quarterlys, comics, and the program from Dean's star. Prayer - that they all return in good condition. :)

BTW - They've already interviewed Don, Deborah, Jean-Pierre, Chris R., and several others. I told the producer, she should try and get Tommy Thompson. Well...she said Tommy had passed away last week. Freaked out, I did a web search and sure enough, a Tommy Thompson HAD died of a heart attack...but he was in his 80s. whew. So, I told her that his death had been greatly exaggerated. She looked him up through Pretender and found him.

The program is supposed to air sometime in August.

I'll keep you posted.

More later....

Go ahead and post - no problem.

And let's add some follow up to that...

Got a call from Diane (producer of the documentary segment) and she said she tried to get Tommy T. but to no avail. The good news is that they had been trying for months to get Dean and/or Scott to do new interviews but were not successful...until last week when both agreed. Yeah!

Diane has called several times for more info - once to get background on Scott's career and I directed him to the Completely Scott web site. She also asked about when the fans bought an ad in Variety. (I have them somewhere but could not find it - at least so far - in time for them to add it to the show.) She also wanted to know the name of the episode where Al tries to get back with his wife (MIA). I told her and she yelled to her staff, "See I told you the fans know everything!" :) She mentioned that they were going to show clips from that show and ask Dean about the drama of the episode. (Dean has said in the past, he enjoys the humor of the show more than anything.)

Sounds like the show is getting good feedback from all our favorite crew folks. Looking forward to this!
