| the CD = the Quantum Leap album (on either tape or CD)
| "the Con" = usually refers to the QL conventions, held in February; can
also mean a more recent convention is being discussed.
| CON = Color of Night, one of Scott's movies
| E-mail = electronic mail, sometimes referred to as an "EM," as in, I sent
you an EM this morning.
| <EG> = Evil grin
| EOD = Equal opportunity drooler (meaning you like Scott and Dean equally
well).
| <g> or <G> = grin
| FWW--Fate's Wide Wheel (from QL CD)
| GEnie = another on-line service. Known for its concentration of Leapers.
| GLTA = Great Leapers think alike
| GMTA = Great minds think alike
| HEIGHT! = This is an inside joke from the QL set. Apparently, one
cameraman had his camera directed at a "certain part" of a female guest
star's anatomy, so the director yelled "Height!" to get him to redirect the
camera. After that, when anyone yelled HEIGHT! the whole cast/crew would
echo it.
| IM = Instant Message (you can send a private message to anyone who is
currently online by using "Send an Instant Message" under the MEMBERS menu if
you are on AOL. If not, go to www.aim.com and
download instant messenger)

| NR = Necessary Roughness, one of Scott's movies

| P* or P$ = Prodigy, another on-line service
| "Peas" = An AOL Leaper watchcry (see: HEIGHT!) This all started when Laurie,
at the Quantum Leap chat, demonstrating her swiss cheesed memory, remarked that she couldn't remember important stuff but she *could* remember that I (Pam) don't like peas. This led to a rash of pea puns such as "give peas a chance" | PQL = Project Quantum Leap, the official fan club
| RR = Romance/Romance, a Broadway show of Scott's. He was nominated for a
Tony award for this one.
| ROTF = Rolling on the floor
| ROTFL = Rolling on the floor laughing
| ROTFLMAO = Rolling on the floor laughing my a** off
| ROTFLWTIME = Rolling on the floor laughing with tears in my eyes
| {S something} = these are sounds people send to each other in the chats if
they have
sound cards or programs in their computers.
| SC = Swiss cheese. Often used in a sentence, as in, I'm swiss cheesing on
(whatever), meaning "I forgot."
| SCFB = Swiss cheese for brains
| SDOS = Sweet Dreams of Scott, a wish Leapers often send when saying
goodbye
| SR = Sibling Rivalry, one of Scott's movies
| SYL = See you later
| TGN or TGNFDWD = Three Guys Naked From the Waist Down, a Broadway show of
Scott's (note--Pam usually uses 3GN)
| TTFN= Ta ta for now
| TTYL or TTYS = Talk to you later (or soon)
