Peter Meyers

Peter Meyers is the managing editor of O'Reilly Media's Missing Manual series. Peter's been working as an editor for O'Reilly since 2004. Prior to that, he paid his dues as a freelance journalist, where he covered technology for publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Village Voice, Salon, and Wired. Some of his very favorite articles include a profile of Norwegian computer programmers who use pigeons to transmit information between computers; the evangelism of Edward Tufte's information design seminars; and one of the earliest articles on Wikipedia. Peter's undergraduate degree is from Harvard, where he studied American history and literature. He also has an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
