Peter Meyers is the managing editor of O'Reilly Media's Missing Manual
series. Peter's been working as an editor for O'Reilly since 2004.
Prior to that, he paid his dues as a freelance journalist, where he
covered technology for publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Village Voice, Salon, and Wired. Some of his very favorite articles include a profile of Norwegian computer programmers who use pigeons to transmit information between computers; the evangelism of Edward Tufte's information design seminars; and one of the earliest articles
on Wikipedia. Peter's undergraduate degree is from Harvard, where he
studied American history and literature. He also has an MFA in fiction
