Dr. Patrice Holt-Dunn

Dr. Holt-Dunn was born in Anniston, Alabama and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She received both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences degree from Tuskegee Institute (currently Tuskegee University) in 1982. She gained valuable experience practicing small animal medicine after graduating. Her varied experience includes several years of relief work in small animal practices throughout Georgia and Alabama; several years as an associate in a couple of small animal practices; and 3 1/2 years as Hospital Administrator for the Animal Emergency Center in Columbus, GA. She also worked 1 year for the United States Department of Agriculture. Her life-long dream of owning her own practice finally came true when she began construction in May 1997 and later opened Cooper Creek PetCare Hospital on October 21st, 1997.
Dr. Holt-Dunn has known since she was a young girl that she wanted to become a veterinarian. It is a joy for her to provide medical care for those family members that bark, meow, chirp, squeak, and sometimes hiss. Her own family (besides her husband James) consists of 3 cats (Quincy, Tiffany, & BC2) and her buddy Tiger, a Pomeranian that accompanies her to work daily.
Dr. Holt-Dunn expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to her familiy members (immediate and extended) for the love, support, and encouragement they continue to provide. (Love You!)
