WILLIAM WADE COCHRAN

Resident of Punxsys for more than

30 years Succumbs at age 68 years

William Wade Cochran passed away this morning at 2:45 in his home on Altman Ave. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

He was born near Limestone, Clarion County, August 21 1867, a son of William and Sarah Rankin Cochran.

In his youth he followed farming and lumbering. For awhile he was located in the west and engaged in drilling. Later he returned to Pittsburgh and was associated with his brother in business.

He had been a resident of this place for more than 30 years. Along with his industrial work he always had a large truck garden. He was a lover of horses and was considered a good authority on them.

Early in his life he became affiliated with the Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city when he died.

The deceased was first married to Nannie Henry, who died a few years afterwards. To this union two sons were born, Walter deceased, and Paul who at this time cannot be located. His second marriage was to Miss Clara Simpson, who survives with a daughter Mrs. William (Ethal) Postlewait, of Indiana. Two daughters to this union, Hazel and Alta are deceased. He also leaves one grandchild and a brother, Curt Cochran of Coudersport.

Funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. Leroy Halbert, in the late William W. Cochran's home Wednesday beginning at 1:30pm with interment in Ashbury Cemetery near Clarion.
