WILLIAM DEPONCEAU

William A. DePonceau, 52, of 409 Argon Drive, Kenmore, N.Y., formerly of Mt. Jewett, died Monday at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

He was born Aug. 28, 1933, in Ridgeway, a son of Angelo and Nancy Geer DePonceau.

He was a veteran of Army services, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He married the former Beverly Fairweather, she survives.

Mr. DePonceau was a graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and of St. Bonaventure University.

He was a real estate attorney, having been employed with law firms before starting his own practice.

He was a member of the Erie County (N.Y.) Bar Association and the Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Hallie DePonceau of Meadville, Pa. and Amy DePonceau of Garden City, N.Y.; two brothers, Philip of Salamanca, N.Y. and James of Wilcox, Pa.; two sisters, Judith DePonceau of Mt. Jewett and Mrs. Eileen Meals of Warren Pa., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 1pm today at a Snyder, N.Y. Funeral Home.
