Elias Fox

Elias Fox of near Brinkerton, this county, son of Christopher and Sarah (Wiser) Fox, died in the Brookville hospital, Tuesday, April 21, 1931, aged 77 years, 6 months and 25 days. He had been ailing for some time, having been confined to his bed for 25 consecutive weeks prior to being removed to the hospital. The cause of his death was a cancerous affection combined with infirmities due to old age.

He was brought to this place and prepared for burial by Charles W. White and then removed to his home from which place he will be buried this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30. The body will be taken to the Leatherwood Baptist church where services in his memory will be conducted by Rev. L. M. McKinley, and interment under the direction of Charles W. White will take place in the Leatherwood Baptist cemetery.

Deceased was never married. He leaves one brother, Alfred, and one sister, Mrs. Della Bashline, both of Sligo. He was a member of the Leatherwood Baptist church for 61
