ELSIE FLORENCE HENRY
Elsie Florence Henry, 90, of Clarion, died Wednesday at Clarion Hospital.
Born March 19, 1898, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Samuel C. Harriger and Kathryn Orr.
She was a homemaker.
She was married to Alva Leroy Henry on January 25, 1917. He died February 22, 1963.
Mrs. Henry was a member of the Sligo Nazarene Church.
She is survived by three sons, Lee Henry of Clarion, Glen Henry of Aliens, Ohio, and Reeves Henry of New Bethlehem RD 3; three daughters, Garnet Henry McHenry of Sligo, Doris Perry of Erie, and Donna Smith of Strattanville RD 1; a brother, Glen Harriger of Sligo RD 1; 36 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Joan Bryant; a son, Clair Henry; an infant brother; a sister, Frances Getz; a brother, Russell Harriger; and 2 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday in the funeral home. Rev. Clayton Harriger, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Johnstown, and nephew of Mrs. Henry, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.
