James L. Harriger
James Larry Harriger died at his home in Limestone Friday, January 8, at 10:55 p.m., following a brief illness.
He was born near Limestone July 13, 1876, son of Daniel and Mary Swerling Harriger. He was married to Eva M. Allison on June 20, 1906, who preceded him in death December 9, 1925.
Mr. Harriger was a blacksmith by trade and served as postmaster of Limestone for 31 years, retiring September, 1946.
Mr. Harriger, the last of his immediate family, was a member of the Leisure Run Methodist church for many years, but recently transferred his membership to the Greenville Presbyterian church of Limestone.
Services were held Monday, January 11, at 2 p.m. at home in Limestone, by Dr. J. Wallace Frasier and the Rev. Shaffer of the Methodist church in Strattenville. Interment was made in the Limestone cemetery under the direction of Gerald L. Goble of Jenkins funeral Home in Clarion.
