Rayburn Harriger
Rayburn Harriger, son of Samuel and Catherine (Orr) Harriger, died at the family home
in Oak Ridge, Pa., sunday, October 23rd, from an attack of diptheria. He was
born July 10, 1909 and so was aged 12 years, 3 months, and 13 days. Besides his parents he
is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Henry and Miss Francis at
home.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. W. B. Allison, pastor of the Hawthorn M. E. church, took place Tuesday morning, and interment under the direction of J. F. Sloan was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
SPECIAL NOTE :
On the original obituary someone, I assume Nellie Orr, has written by hand in ink the name ELSIE over the top of the name ELIZABETH Henry which is at the end of the first paragraph. The name Elizabeth Henry is not correct. The reference is to my grandmother, Elsie Henry (ID # H0005).
