John K. Henry

John K. Henry, son of Tate A. and Margaret (Van Houten) Henry, passed away at his home near New Bethlehem, Pa., on Friday evening, July 8, 1932, at 8:30, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 8 days.

About eight years ago Mr. Henry was afflicted by a stroke from which he never fully recovered, and was confined to his bed for the past ten weeks.

He was united in marriage to Mollie English in 1877, who preceded him in death in 1878. On October 9, 1883, he again united in marriage with Clara Reed who survives him, together with the following named children: Frank D., of Falls Creek, Pa., one daughter, Mrs. Paul Barlett, of New Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter. The following named sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Kate Hoover, Ford City, Pa.; Mrs. Jane Hoover, Rimersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Elsie Riley, Clarion, Pa.; Mrs. C. J. Henry, New Bethlehem, Pa.; Mrs. W. S. Henry, Oil City, Pa One sister, Margaret, and one brother, Benjamin, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services in his memory were held in the Leatherwood Presbyterian church on Sunday afternoon by his pastor, Rev. R. E. Kiern. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of Charles W. White of New Bethlehem, Pa.

Hoover, Mrs. George Rupert and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bird Henry, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bauer and children, Mrs. B. M. Henry, all of Ford City; Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Reed and family of Sheffield, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wiser and son, of Falls Creek; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Kline and Mrs. Blake Kroh, of Brookville, and Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Holt, Lucille and Donald Holt, and Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Holt and daughter, all of Brockway, Pa.
