THOMAS M. HENRY

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 8, from the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ed Mercer of RD 1, Sligo for Thomas Marion Henry, 93, a life long resident of Monroe Township, who died at the home of daughter Wednesday, Sept. 5.

He had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Velvie Dunkle of Silgo, for the past year.

Mr. Henry was born Oct. 31, 1868, a son of William T. and Mary Bigley Henry. He is the last member of a family of 13.

He was married to Ella Magness, who died in 1950. He was a member of the Reidsburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Carney (Carrie) Helper of Knox RD 1, Mrs. Ralph(Valvie) Dunkle of Sligo, Mrs. Stella Bracken of Reynoldsville, Mrs. Lottie Mercer of Silgo RD 1, Mrs. Carlton (Blanche) Murray of Silgo and Mrs. Ed (Dorathy) Mercer of Silgo RD 1, one son, Walter, who has been a patient in Aspinwall Hospital in Pitsburgh for several years, 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

One daughter Mrs. Bertha Bashline, preceded him in death.

Rev. Thomas and Rev. Hunt of the Silgo Nazarene Church officiated at the services. Interment was in the Reidsburg Baptist Cemetery.

The Hawk Funeral Home in Silgo was in charge of funeral arrangements.
