VELVIE DUNKLE DIES

Mrs. Velvie Irene Dunkle, 81, of Silgo died early Thursday, July 5, 1979, in Clarion Hospital.

Born July 5, 1898, in Monroe Township, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ella Magness Henry. She was married Oct. 20, 1919, to Ralph Dunkle, who died March 28, 1966.

Mrs. Dunkle , who had resided in Silgo for the past 40 years, was a member of the Silgo United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Lady Priscilla Rebekah Lodge of Silgo.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Carrie) Meir and Mrs. Dean (Doris) Simpson, both of Silgo; three grandchildren, Wayne Meir, Karen Meir, and Mrs. Susan Lantleme, all of Silgo, and one sister, Mrs. Stella Bracken of Reynoldsville.

One brother, Walter Henry, and five sisters, Blanche, Dorothy, Lottie, Carrie, and Bertha, preceded in her death.

Services were at 2pm Saturday from the Cleo A. Hawk Funeral Home in Silgo with the Rev. Dale Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Silgo Cemetery.
