Planina Dancers in Thracian Costumes (So. Bulgaria & N. Greece)
The Planina Dancers introduce audiences to some of the folkdances and folklore of various ethnic communities. Although they exhibit folkdances from around the world, they specialize in dances from Eastern Europe, Germany, and Vintage Ballrooms [Mostly American Victorian (2nd half 19th c.) and Ragtime (1910 - 1920)]. They are a non-profit organization and only charge enough to defray expenses and assist with costume acquisition.
