Lammas 1997 Contest Winning Entries
The Mystic Gryphon is Montgomery's foremost metaphysical supply store. The store is owned and operated by the Rev. M. Michelle Griffin, renowned personality, prominent witch, high priestess of The Temple of Divine Mysteries, song writer extrodinaire, teacher and specialist! The shop is currently in its sixth year of operation and is temporarily located at 439 South Hull.
The Mystic Gryphon specializes in incense, oils, crystals, candles, tarot cards, jewlery, books, clothing and more. In addition, tarot readings are offered by Michelle Griffin and Shane Earnest. Further, Michelle can special order nearly any book or musical selection. All of the incense is handmade and all the oils are all natural. The incense is available in stick, powder and candle. The oils are sold in dram bottles and are never cut with any thinning agents. The candles are also hand made. Most of the incense, candle and oil flavors are special mixtures of essential oils lovingly blended to capture a desired magickal essence. Needless to say, all of the merchandise in the store is "magickal".
The Mystic Gryphon is a retail, wholesale and mail order store. Many of the incenses and oils produced at The Mystic Gryphon are carried in other stores nationwide. If your favorite metaphysical store does not carry Gryphon products, I encourage you to suggest that they do so. If you are not fortunate to live near a metaphysical supply store, The Mystic Gryphon will allow you to purchase items through mail order (credit card or pre-paid only). In addition, if you run a store which carries metaphysical items, you can easily become a distributer of the Gryphon line of products.
We would like to announce that The Mystic Gryphon and Temple of Divine Mysteries web stie has been awarded the Mystic Site of the Web Award of Excellence from the fabulous people at AvatarSearch! We promise not to go blasting our front door with additional awards (awards will have their own special page) but we just had to rave about this one since it is our first award. In addition to thanking the folks at AvatarSearch, we at The Mystic Gryphon would like to say thanks to everyone who has visited. If you have not noticed the counter recently then check it out (isn't it wonderful). Keep checking the site frequently, we are planning to add several new pages in the near future covering topics such as: Familiars, Healing, Herbs, New Contests and many more. If you have visted before you will notice that the next section has just gotten a major face lift. To make navigation a bit easier we have opened up The Mystic Gryphon Magickal Reference Library! It is similar to an online book of shadows with lots of general and specific information. All the topics which were classified as "Information" before, part of "The Mystic Gryphon" and part of "The Temple of Divine Mysteries" is now housed in this section. Some of the pages are referenced from both this main site and from the reference library itself. For example, the crystal and herb pages appear in both sites since they contain information specfic to the store but also general purpose information such as the various folk names of herbs and the magickal uses of crystals.
In addition to The Magickal Reference Library, the Temple of Divine Mysteries has now been moved to its own section! All of the documents under The Temple of Divine Mysteries can be accessed through this new page. With all the growth that is going on we felt it would be easier to navigate if the site were sectionalized for easy access.
