After many years of writing HTML code for other people I have finally decided to write a section for myself about my magickal beliefs. I hope that you will find the information provided here to be useful.

Many of you may have visited my first major web site, The Unofficial Web Page of The Mystic Gryphon - this was a site that I put together for friends at that time. You may recognize some of the material from the web site. I wrote many of the articles which appeared on the site. As such, I have included those here. In time I will be greatly exapanding the topics which are available.

I have written on subjects which are of interest to me. I consider myself to be an Eclectic Wiccan. I do believe in a higher force which interacts through positive and negative aspects, male and female aspects, divine aspects (God and Goddess), etc. I respect and honor nature as much as I can. I strongly believe in the three fold law/karma and the Wiccan Rede.

By now, some of you are going, "But not all of these are beliefs in Wicca". You are right. My belief is that everyone must discover their OWN individual path to spiritual enlightenment. Wicca provided a good starting point for me. However, there is truth in all spiritual paths. I conisder myself to be Eclectic Wiccan because I hold many beliefs from different cultuers and philosophies.

I have attempted to include material which will be of interest to the beginner, the intermediate and advanced level practitioner. Some of the material given is NOT, I repeat, NOT for beginners. Certain aspects of magick require a certain level of control and ability. We all have to start out magickal quest at some point. Magick is very much like working out. You do not immediately start trying to bench press 300 pounds. The same is true in magickal workings. You start with the basic building blocks of magick and as your skill and ability increases you move to more complex workings. Do not rush yourself when you are beginning, there is plenty of time to learn. You will never stop learning.

Where I have included material which is not for beginners I have made notes and given warnings. Some of the items described could be likened to drive a car while under the influence of a controlled substance. While you might be able to drive for a little bit you can easily do yourself serious harm or cause injury to others (even death). Please be careful where I give warmings.

Now, I can hear some people asking, "Why have you included such dangerous material where beginners can find it?" The information I have given can be found in various books which you can buy at any bookstore. Some of the information is obtained by putting "two and two" together. I feel that if this is something that I know or can find then ANYONE can find it. Whereas some sources will not point out the inherent dangers in a magickal process I will! I feel that it is better to warn and tell then to leave it up to an individual to discover through experimentation. If I an individual chooses not to heed my warning and/or advice then they take full responsibility for their actions.

I hope that you the information available on this site will help you on your magickal journey. If you have a subject you would like to see on the site then please ask and if it is something I am familiar with then I will add a section for it.

The Magick 101 lessons are presented, for the moment, in plain text form without background images or color to allow for easy printing. Later, the Microsoft Word documents will be available for FTP downloading. Please be patient. More lessons will be added shortly.
