Triangle Art Quilters Home | Exhibits | About TAQ

The Triangle Art Quilters are a group of artists in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area. We are primarily interested in contemporary quilt designs and techniques, including fabricscapes, watercolor and bargello, raw-edge weaving, hand-dyed and/or painted fabric, foundation piecing, stencils and/or stamps, and surface design and embellishment.

Our group was started in 1997 by Annette Rogers. TAQ currently has about 14 active members, plus many less frequent members. We have demonstrations, show-n-tell (with critique upon request), and have had our first group show. Several of our members teach classes.

TAQ meets at the Crafts Center at North Carolina State University in Raleigh on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Come join us!

The Crafts Center is located in the lower level of the Thompson Building on the NCSU Campus in downtown Raleigh. The Thompson Building is on the corner of Jensen Drive and Dunn Avenue, across from the coliseum parking deck. Here are directions and a map:

1. Get onto Hillsborough St. and go to the East side of the NCSU Campus.
2. At the intersection with the large clock tower, turn South onto Pullen Drive.
3. Go a couple of blocks, and turn right on Dunn. It is the first street after you cross a small railroad bridge (you will see a low railing on both sides of the road).
4. Take the first left onto Jensen. The Thompson Building will be on your left. You will see the awning for the Crafts Center with a door underneath. To the right will be a parking garage, you can park in there (stickers aren't needed after 5 pm).
