spiral I never know what to say on the front pages of these things. The links to your left cover my presence on the internet fairly well. My resume will be up there as soon as I write one. As you can see, I have both a blog for myself at LiveJournal, and also one for my writing, called reaschild. At the moment, it bears the name "The Makar's Tree;" "makar" being a Scots word for poet, frequently used to refer to the great Scots-language poets of the renaissance (Henryson, Douglas and Dunbar). Anway, the digital armchair is where I keep the links I like to hit on a regular basis, so that I can have quicker access when traveling and away from my computer. The wishlist and movie list are mostly useful for friends, as they can know what I'm interested in, as well as what movies they might be able to borrow from me.

"This is all very well and good," you are possibly saying to yourself, "but who exactly is this person with all these links?" Well, I am a soon-to-be graduate of Vassar College, with a major in history. I've spent the past three years working in the costume shop, and not only can I handle both a sewing machine and a serger, I have a basic knowledge of drafting. I'm involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a non-profit mediaeval reenactment society. In the SCA, my focus is Scottish lowland culture from roughly 1300-1513. Also, I am part of an extended family, formally the niece of Master Efenwealt and Mistress Aenor. Through this actitivy I have further honed my skills with a needle. Oh, and with a sword. I can fence rapier and collegiate, a bit. I speak, to varying degrees, French, Irish Gaelic, and ASL. I wish to learn Church Latin and Spanish, for different reasons. I love most martial arts, and as soon as the tendonitis is a bit better, I'm going back to aikido. By the way, you could have figured most of this out by reading my blog.

Cheers!
