Meet the Pastor

Rev. Bain was called to Lanett Congregational Christian Church, UCC in October of 1990. He has served churches in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia in his thirty-one years in the ministry. He currently serves the East Alabama-West Georgia Association as Chair of the Church and Ministry Committee and the Southeast Conference as a member of the Personnel Committee and is Chair of the Allen Retreat Center. He is past president and secretary and currently serves as vice-president of the Greater Valley Ministerial Association.

Rev. Bain graduated from Okaloosa-Walton Jr. College in Niceville, Florida with an Associate Degree in Religion. He received his Bachelors from LaGrange College, LaGrange, Georgia in Religion and Social Work and Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.

Rev. Bain enjoys camping and sightseeing. He is married to Wanda Lovett Bain and they have two sons, Rex and Rodney.
