- Geostiff is a program and graphical user interface that produce and
georeference Stiff diagrams. The user prepares an input file and selects the
preferred output parameters. The program is then executed from within the
interface and produces ESRI ArcInfo(TM) polygon coverages ready to be
displayed and edited in ArcView(TM) GIS. Geostiff is free. New

- The Software directory of the US Office of Surface Mining's Technical Information Processing System (TIPS) has four DOS hydrology programs in tar.gz format (.tgz). There are free utilities for decompacting them or you can use WinZip. The programs include
- TAAP (Theis Aquifer Analysis Program Version 3.1),
- STORM (uses the SCS curve number method for determining runoff from small watersheds),
- HC34 (plots water quality data using either Piper trilinear diagrams or Stiff diagrams), and
- HC41 (appears to be an update of hc34).
