I got this from Darby.
You Are a "Don't Tread On Me" Libertarian

You distrust the government, are fiercely independent, and don't belong in either party. Religion and politics should never mix, in your opinion... and you feel opressed by both. You don't want the government to cramp your self made style. Or anyone else's for that matter. You're proud to say that you're pro-choice on absolutely everything!

Ahhhh, listen....you don't hear anything do you?  KJ and his cousin, McKenzie, are spending some quality time tormenting..ahem, I mean staying with my parents; and it is blissfully quiet here.  We'll be up Thursday for Thanksgiving, of course, and then KJ will be on to his dad's side of the family for the weekend.  I bet he will be glad to finally be home on Monday and I'm sure that I will be going nuts missing him by then...but not quite yet.  We've really been hitting the books hard lately and butting heads some so the break is nice.  I had several things to blog about, but unfortunately I can't seem to remember what they were.

I made a point before of not discussing politics at all, but now that the election is FINALLY over, I'll tell you that I voted for Kerry.  Yes, I live about 25 miles from the "Western Whitehouse" and hear the rumble of patrolling jets every time Bush is in town, but that is not why I voted against him.  Yes, it wasn't so much a vote for Kerry as a vote against Bush.  Someone quoted Reagan on a blog asking if your life was better these past four years.  I'm sorry, but I can't remember whose blog it was.  Well, my life has been better these past four years than before, BUT it is due to my marriage to David and subsequent changes in priorities and lifestyle.  Economically, things are much worse.  KJ's dad was laid off from a fantastic job and even with great references and a college degree, has been working his rear off for less pay.  The company at which David works had massive lay-offs and we were very fearful at one point that he would lose his job.  Our health insurance premiums keep rising while benefits get worse.  I won't even touch the whole war in Iraq, except to say that I disagree with the reasons for going to war.  Let's see...what else?  I totally disagree with the religious right's need to control what everyone else believes.  I saw a bumper sticker that read, "Freedom of religion means freedom for ALL religions," and I strongly agree with that.  I AM pro-life, but it wasn't reason enough for me to vote Republican.

Hello everybody!  I'm back from my blogging hiatus with a confession.  I am an addict.  I'm addicted to ToonTown Online.  All my spare computer time has been spent playing this game leaving me no time to blog. I'm so ashamed...

Seriously though, I've come to the realization that I edit myself so much that I rarely have anything of substance to blog about.  I'm so worried that I might offend someone or start a confrontation that I don't write about anything important.  That is going to change so stay tuned for more regular blogging.
