I was supposed to mow today, but the *#**#@ lawnmower threw a rod and is now dead.  Instead I cleaned out the chicken coops and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  As I was sitting on the deck, I realized that all the animals made a very peaceful scene so I took some photos.  You can view them here.

I have been sooo sick which is why I've been MIA.  I'm finally on the mend now though.

 

First the good news:  KJ got a phone call yesterday from Texas Parks and Wildlife telling him that he won first place in the horned lizard essay contest.  Woo Hoo!  She said they will be sending him a $150 nature exploration kit. (whatever that includes)

 

Bad news:  Margarita, our rooster, has gone to that big chicken coop in the sky.
