Gee, has it been a month since I blogged?
Time flies...here's an update

* I'm now on a different, yet stronger antibiotic for my sinus problem. I was doing really well, and thought that maybe I DID just have a bad infection until Friday. The headache/face ache started and has not gone away since.

* KJ and I ended up having a lovely visit with my friend from Memphis. I had threatened him and he was on his best behavior. Of course he had the day off from schoolwork and got to browse antique stores, which he loves, so he had no reason NOT to behave.

* Do all boys going through puberty act bipolar?! One week, KJ is oh so sweet, cooperative, affectionate, and helpful. The next week, he is argumentative, moody, grunts at me instead of speaking, and I had better not attempt to touch him. *sigh* Please tell me it will get better.

* KJ and I are in our last week of World Geography at McLennan Community College. I think it was a good learning experience for both of us. Next semester, we're signed up for Critical Thinking and I hope to be able to add Pre-Algebra. I'm still waiting on a reply from the Math Division Director.

* KJ joined his cousin, McKenzie, for a stay at my parents last week. They had a blast. McKenzie dyed her hair black, they saw "Chicken Little." McKenzie helped my mom bake, while KJ helped rototill and load/unload a table and chairs plus they both came home with hermit crabs.

* David and I arrived in Wichita Falls on Thursday and returned with KJ on Friday. Thanksgiving was great...crazy, but great.  Only with family can you hear funny, politically incorrect stories, and witness your father and sister-in-law playing with goop that sounds like farts.

* A friend of mines daughter sent me a Flat Stanley. Stanley and I have been all over Waco together taking pictures. I'll see if I can figure out how to put them here this evening, but I have to run get KJ from fencing now.

misc. ramblings
*We had our first ever Halloween party on Friday night and it went pretty well.  It was a very low-key, casual outdoors party. We had a nice size campfire where we roasted weinies for hot dogs and marshmallows for smores. I had a washtub of iced drinks and had a crockpot full of hot apple cider with cinnamon. I totally forgot about the cider though and it never made it outside. Oh well, I've been having hot cider in the evenings and pouring a little cold into my iced tea during the day.  Using flashlights, KJ and several children explored the trails in the woods across the street. They also bobbed for apples and played with glowsticks and glowbracelets.

*KJ went trick-or-treating with his dad and a friend on Monday and brought back a candy haul to share with his loving mother. :-)

*My ENT started me on large doses of antibiotics on the off chance that my right sinus is full of infection instead of a cyst. There is a polyp for sure, but he can't tell from the CT scan if the right is full of fluid, a cyst, or infection. After two weeks, if I appear to be improving, then we continue the antibiotics for 4 more weeks. If I'm not improving, then we schedule surgery.

*David is going to Orlando Tuesday morning through Friday evening of next week. He doesn't like me to post when he is gone, but most people can't find where we live WITH directions. Add the large number of dogs that will suroound you barking the instant you hit the driveway and I'm not too worried.

*An old friend from high school is flying into Dallas in a couple of weeks on business. We haven't seen each other in about 10 years so we're meeting in Waxahachie for lunch and general hanging out. I can hardly wait!
