The View from the Iron Road

ttto "All Beautiful the March of Days" by Kate Holly-Clark

All beautiful the wheel of stars as seasons come and go
The hand that made the rose hath wrought a way for us to go
An Iron Road for us to take, and reach for that bright light
Til every earthbound child of us sees all from a great height

The machineıs not elegant itıs true, it rattles and it roars
Dreams in Iron made manifest cause fear and closes doors
But when iron dreams and worlds collide, who says then what it right?
And all the earthbound children see it all from a great height

We wonıt take our wars into space, at least not for a while
Eye to eye in zero gee is easier by a mile
And when weıve learned to see our way, in sunıs unfettered light
Weıll teach our earthbound children to see things from a height
