This utility is useful where date-format or nines-complement date-format fields are stored in ADABAS files, and especially where those fields are used in superdescriptors. Often these field values will be seen as "packed dates" or "complemented dates" (ie 7-digit numbers) rather than in one of the user-friendly external formats, such as mm/dd/yy. ZZDATES will display these odd formats in normal formats.
ZZDATES is in the object module section of ZZUtils, a collection of Natural utilities. Look for more information in my Natural Tips & Techniques section - Tip 2, Starting value in a READ by superdescriptor.
