When I write my stories I am writing in a general sense about the Bards of ancient Cymru (Wales), what I envision that their lives were like and what their beliefs and disciplines were about. Saying that, these stories are not meant to be too closely examined for historical merit and are what is often termed 'alternative history', being 'very loosely' based on Cymru in about the 4th to 5th Centuries ce. Though the Bards did have a time of power in Cymru, I really don't know that it had the dominance that I envision in my works. In all, these works are more or less my perception of what a Bardic Society might well be like if it were allowed to truly flower to its full potential... more

Book 1
Rhiannon - Child of Twilight

Rhiannon becomes the youngest Head of the Bardic Council as the landscape in the country of Cymru becomes restless. A need to split the Council and find a Ricon for Cymru becomes Rhiannon's focus as a dark force arises in the land to the East of Briton to threaten both her and the Bardic way of life.

Taliesin, Second to the Head of Council goes in search of his kidnapped daughter, Branwen, admidst Cymru's War with Briton as he fights a darker force in a surprising guise.

In a more settled Cymru, Talibah, a Gnostic, arrives searching for the Secret of Sophia as directed by her People. Discovering the Bards of Cymru, she trains with them as a new threat appears on the horizon from the stars themselves. A threat that could do far more damage than just to the land of Cymru and its People.

Novella
The Holy Isle

This miniseries of tales deals with another group alongside the Bards in Cymru; namelythe Healers. This interaction of Healer and Bard seems to form in my memory the basis of what I call being a 'Healer Bard'.
