Amy Henderson reports this is a lovely restaurant a few feet away from the railroad tracks so you can enjoy dinner and watch the trains go by. Excellent service, live music on weekends. Fine dining menu and a casual menu.

- Legend Brewing Co., 321 W. 7th St., 232-8871. On the southside of the river. Really hard to find, but it's sort of near the Manchester and 14th Street bridges. Great view of the city skyline from their outside deck, but the bands play inside.

- Sportsman. Williamsburg Road between Laburnam Avenue and Masonic Lane, behind B&B Seafood, near Miller's Lane.) It's in a strip mall. Bert Morgan says the parking lot is the size of Mechanicsville and you will not get beat up unless you act like a dick.
