Bio

Ruth Owen has been writing ever since she could pick up a pen. She graduated Magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College and spent fifteen years in the computer industry, but she always secretly dreamed of writing and publishing a romance novel. In 1991 that dream became a reality when she got 'the call' from Bantam-Dell books. MELTDOWN was published in 1992, and featured the engaging intelligent computer ‘Einstein’, a fan favorite.

She has sold ten books which have been translated into several languages including French, Italian, Norwegian and Chinese, and she receives fan mail from all over the world. Her book SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME was chosen as one of the  'Ten Favorite Books of the Year' by the membership of the Romance Writers of America. She has won the Maggie Award and several W.I.S.H. awards from Romantic Times magazine, and is past president of the Volusia County Romance Writers, a chapter of the Romance Writers of America. She is currently hard at work on her next novel.
