2003 Caudill Family Reunion
September 7th, 2003
About seventy "Caudill Cousins" gathered to celebrate
our families rich heritage in North Wilkesboro on
September 7th. There was great and plentiful food
and a good time had by all.
In addition to the direct descendants of Linnie Famon Caudill
and Augusta Richardson, we were blessed by the attendance of
descendants of Bessie Caudill Hart (Linnie's oldest sister).
Thanks guys - it was great meeting you all.
The Patterson family was also in attendance and we all
enjoyed a great deal of fellowship.
There were several old photographs shared (some over sixty-years old)
and a great deal of discovery. We're gathering copies
of some of the photos and will try to post them soon.
Our beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins contributed a total of
$260 to the Caudill Cabin web page. This unselfish act will
enable us to enhance the form of and content of the site in
the upcoming year to include more old photographs, family
tree information, and other interesting facts about our
heritage and the cabin.
Plans were made for sharing of family tree information, for
upcoming cabin hikes, for next years reunion, for development
of a Caudill Cousin mailing list, and much more. It was a blast!
