Heart Pine Entry Door

An extraordinary log or timber frame home needs a great front door!  This door starts as a massive heart pine timber in a turn-of-the-century warehouse or factory that is scheduled for demolition.  We then "re-harvest" this outstanding wood and turn it into a beautiful door.

In addition to the antique recycled heart pine, the extra heavy door features just the right amount of character marks, hand planing, drawknifing, and authentic mortise-and-tenon pegged joinery.   The door looks as though it came out of the 200 year old home of a colonial master craftsman.
