"The cockpit began as a fighter jet version as you can see. The seat is from an F-101 Voodoo (Vietname Era). All instruments and system modules are actual aircraft [units] from various models."
We're not sure how Ron plans to interface the
answering machine and FAX to the EPIC, but I imagine we'll be
sending him an analog control module sometime in the near future.
The white console on the far side of instrument panel is a
work in progress and houses a custom-built switch panel, several
instruments, a homemade throttle, a PC keyboard, and a
flush-mounted FLCS (nice job!). Some of the pictures below were
taken before this panel was added.
"Since I fly both fighter programs and FS5/ATP I have been struggling with a cockpit design to allow both. The photos showing the huge center console on the right [of the seat] is my answer."
"The throttle control for the commercial aircraft is my immediate project as well as individual levers for flaps, spoilers, and trim controls. In the meantime I can still fly anything using the TQS and FLCS."

Instruments, anyone?
The instruments shown at left are the real thing but aren't
operational... yet. Thanks to Ron and a few others, R&R was
able to develop an EPIC module for controlling simple analog
gauges -- now it's up to the programmers to send the relevant
data to the EPIC.

Shots of the old (previous? thin?) left and right consoles.
In front of the TQS on the left console is an oxygen pressure gauge, landing gear switch, and flaps position indicator, and behind it is an AGM-69 launch control panel from a B-52.
The right console hosts the IFF and radio controls.
