Wedding Weekend
My favorite Seattle people are getting married this weekend. I met Mark & Jen through Seattle Works. They're the coolest people; and a perfect couple, to boot. Tonight is the rehearsal dinner. (I'm going, since they asked me to be an usher) Tomorrow, they're having a get-together at the brewery. And the wedding is at 6. They also got us rooms at the Willows Lodge for that night. See, I told you there were cool.
One of my other friends wants to use my room for showering and getting ready. But, I don't think it was right to ask. I'm sharing the room with another usher.. so, it's only partly my decision. Plus, the room is a gift for being in the wedding. Should that privilege go to someone who's not in the wedding? I'll also have a small window of time between cleaning up after the brewery party and being over at the wedding site. So, if I have to wait in a big line to use my own shower.. I might as well come back to the house to get ready. What's the point of them giving me a room if I can't use it when I need it, right?
Or am I just being selfish?

Car Free Seattle
Their philosophy is that any city with a good public transit system and some bike paths could be car free. I don't know if I could ever give up my car completely. But, I do drive less since moving here. And, I ride my bike more; and walk more than I used to. When I do get another car, my next one will be a hybrid/electric vehicle.
