Screwed by Starbucks, part deux.
Starbucks is trying to fuck with me again. Yesterday, I was supposed to move my art from the West Seattle Diva Espresso to the Alki Starbucks. (an easy switch, on the same day, in the same neighborhood.) But, when I called to confirm all of this Monday morning,.. the idiot at Starbucks had no idea what I was talking about. AND, he told me that there was already a new show hanging! (I had a feeling that things were not going to go well when I called the manager last week to iron out the details. I had just talked to him. And, he told me to bring my stuff on the 1st)
So, it turns out that the artist for APRIL came early and hung his stuff. And, now I have to wait until next month to hang my paintings.
I think I'm giving up on these little cafe shows. They're too much trouble; and they never generate any sales. I'm just going to wait for the next group show or try to get a gallery to show my stuff from now on. Restaurant owners and cafe managers are too goddamn flaky.
