Sunday afternoon, July 4th. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at Karole's cousin's house. It was still hot as hell, but the ceiling fan on the front porch kept us cool. The margaritas helped too. Other items on the menu: Grilled portabello mushrooms, Karole's famous potato salad, cole slaw, a table full of desserts. Oh, and some sort of meat too, I think. Luckily, our hosts were vegetarians.
