Site Information and Directions

Most NW Arkansas weekend events and fair days are held at Camp Satyrchase, which is 220 acres of Arkansas wilderness owned by Doug and Marti. We are planning to build a Dragon Crest town there, as well as our own residence.
Right now, however, the land is truly a wilderness area. Currently there is no water, electricity or sewage, although Doug did build an outhouse. That means we'll be phys-repping what your characters are going through as they make their way up the river to the site of the new town! Please be sure to bring plenty of water and bug repellent.
The land is very vertical, with some rough climbs in many spots. Approximately 60 acres is fairly flat in the bottom part of the property. If you are uncomfortable or incapable of climbing or even just navigating rough trails, don't worry! We will make every effort to give plenty of activities in the flatter areas of the property.
The nearest place to purchase food, water and pizza is Huntsville, which is about 20 minutes away. So you might want to bring an ice chest with food and drinks. We will have food and drink available for NPCs. Usually we also bring enough to share with PCs, but there is no guarantee on that.

Lake Wedington Recreation Area
Module days are occasionally held at the Lake Wedington Recreation Area in the Ozark National Forest. The Lake Wedington recreation area includes real restrooms, although we will be at the group camp site which has only a chemical port-a-potty. We plan to pitch tents in the group camp area on Saturday night, but there are also cabins nearby that are available for rent if you're not into roughing it.

follow the directions on this web page until you are going north on I-540 (labeled Hwy 71 on the Lake Wedington map). Instead of taking exit 72, you will take exit 45, for Hwy 16. Take a left (turn west) onto Hwy 16. Keep driving for a good while, and keep your eyes out for the Lake Wedington Recreation Area signs, which will be in the left. Follow the Lake Wedington rec area map to get to the group camp site.Directions from Wichita and Tulsa:
